The Gap Pub.

While I was sharing my webpage, multiple people approached me and asked for the pub's name. It should be easy to remember and should explain what my ministry stands for. After one month of publishing my blogs regularly and thinking through what kind of name I would choose, I came up with "The Gap Pub". Interestingly, the word gap has a couple different meanings: The usual translation is something that is set apart, a free space, a slot, or something that is not filled/connected. Additionally, in business terminology, a “gap” is an opportunity to provide something other service providers aren’t offering.

The gap symbolizes the space between people. The gap can be seen in differences of opinion, different cultures, different ages, lifestyles and beliefs that separate us from understanding and respecting one another.

Pubs are typically a place where many social gatherings take place. For me, The Gap Pub makes perfect sense to be a vibrant atmosphere with endless opportunities to bridge these gaps, as a catalyst to bring people together through discussions, coaching, debates and conversations.

Not only is the purpose of The Gap Pub to fill the gap between humanity's social barriers, but ultimately will create a space to fill the gap spiritually for those who would probably never pursue community or a social setting that would lead to an encounter with Christ. The Gap Pub meets people where they are at in a neutral setting that fosters a safe place for them to be themselves and share their honest opinion, while simultaneously challenging their personal growth, understanding of Christianity and spiritual development.

Therefore, the vision of The Gap Pub is to break barriers and build unity toward transformational conversations that lead to experiencing the truth in Jesus Christ.

Welcome!

One day people who would never sit together will be found at the same table for the first time at The Gap Pub. Come for a visit, it's finally time to close some gaps in your life.
